Sustainability

SUSTAINABILITY STARTS WITH OUR TEAM

Our Sustainability Policy

Since designing our hotel in 2006, we have embraced a vision of environmental, social and cultural sustainability. Our commitment is reflected in every aspect of running the hotel, respecting the environment and promoting our host territory.

Environmental Sustainability

The hotel was built entirely with Xlam panels and natural materials with low environmental impact. Insulation is provided by wood fibres and partly recycled cladding. Large skylights provide natural light and ventilation in mid-season, reducing the need for artificial lighting and mechanical ventilation systems.

The thermal comfort of the rooms is managed by a water system installed in the walls, which also regulates the perceived level of humidity. Hot water is produced by a district heating system supplied by the nearby paper mill, while the electricity purchased comes 100% from renewable sources.

We have implemented a home automation system to optimize energy consumption in the rooms and drip irrigation in the gardens, partly provided by a rainwater recovery system.

We encourage waste reduction: we organise a careful waste separation and have almost completely eliminated the use of single-use plastics. We use environmentally friendly and certified detergents, distributed through central dispensers, to reduce waste and environmental impact.

Mobility and territory

We promote sustainable mobility by offering our guests charging stations for electric vehicles and storage boxes for recharging E-bikes. Bicycles can be rented at our Bike Centre and our staff is available to provide maps, advice and assistance in actively discovering the area.

Thanks to the Trentino Guest Card, our guests can use local public transport free of charge and benefit from reduced fares and access to cultural and natural sites in the area.

Local products and short supply chain

We are proud to support local producers. Our menu favours zero-mile ingredients and our wine list consists exclusively of local labels. We use coffee from the local roastery in Arco and invite our guests to visit farms to discover and buy local products.

Social responsibility and culture

We actively participate in the life of the local community, supporting social events and projects, including sports courses for children, including those with disabilities. We also promote the historical and cultural heritage of the area by offering visits to traditional sites and local museums, check the website ApT.

Our ongoing commitment

We believe that every small daily gesture can contribute to the protection of our natural and cultural patrimony. For this reason, we engage in a process of continuous improvement by constantly reviewing our activities. Our goals for the next three years are

  • to organize Italian courses for employees who need them;
  • to install a photovoltaic system to obtain energy from renewable sources;
  • to increase the percentage of LED lights in our facility;
  • to reduce water consumption by installing additional low-consumption systems;
  • to be more involved in the area from a cultural point of view, also by making the premises available for exhibitions, book presentations and musical events.

We are aware that sustainability is a joint effort: we invite our guests to be part of it with awareness, respect and curiosity.
